Spring Break is almost over, but Spring is not!

I hope you have all had an enjoyable Spring Break.  There's one more day before we return to school, and if your little ones are looking for something to do, I found some websites (via a blogger friend) that they might enjoySome games/activities are more challenging than others.  All are meant to be non-religious.  Just click on the picture to take you to the website.

SPRING into Excellence

Reminder: Tomorrow is our Fun Day and the outside fun begins at 8:30 and ends around 12:45.  The school day ends at the regular time.

What to do/bring:
Image from Google Images - not the actual one for Fun Day
  • Wear a blue t-shirt
  • Apply sunscreen before coming to school
  • Wear tennis shoes and regular school attire
  • Hat (opt.) - be sure name is inside in case it comes off
  • Extra water
  • Snack
We will go inside for lunch at our regular time.  We will take periodic breaks inside to get away from the heat.  Mrs. Bosley has a line-up of movies planned over the closed-circuit TV for those times inside.

Note:  If you will be joining us (parents), please know that we will be sticking together as a class.  So, if your child BEGS you to go to a different station other than where we are scheduled to be, please abide by our Station Rotation and stick with the class.  All school rules and procedures will be in place tomorrow, as they are every day.

If I don't see you tomorrow, have a wonderful Spring Break!

Tuesday is the Walk for Diabetes

Tomorrow, Tuesday, March 20th is not only the first day of Spring, but is also our Walk for Diabetes Day!  The children will walk during their Activity time.  Our sixth grade Book Buddies will assist us with pinning on our name tags before going outside.  Please be sure your child wears tennis shoes and brings a bottle of water!

Friday will be our Spring Into Excellence day and we will spend a good portion of our day outside.  Please have your child wear a BLUE t-shirt so we can distinguish the kindergarten children from the 1st and 2nd.  KINDERGARTEN wears BLUE.  It will be important that you put sunscreen on your child prior to coming to school, as I am not permitted to do so.  (Allergies, etc.)  It wouldn't hurt for your child to bring extra water on that day as well.  Oh, and they will need tennis shoes on that day, also!

Spring Break: March 26-30

Please read the newsletter your child will bring home on Tuesday!

I will try them, Sam, I Am,
I will try Green Eggs and Ham.
I will eat them in my school,
I think Green Eggs and Ham are 'cool'.

One of the favorite books was none other than Green Eggs and Ham!  Could it have had anything to do with FOOD?  Of course it did!  Anytime there's food involved, the children love what they are learning!  Here are some photos of the food and the art work, but we are still working on our book pages.  They will be online soon.
